Although lorenzo's business started 25 years ago, the brand's origins began 80 years ago in a barbershop in Coogee. De Lorenzo is an Australian-made, family-owned professional hair care company with a strong commitment to environmental responsibility. De Lorenzo manufactures exclusive professional products for beauty salons that include styling products, daily shampoos and conditioners, scalp therapy ranges and specialty treatment products. All De Lorenzo products are listed cruelty-free and contain no animal-derived ingredients.
They do not contain petrochemicals and contain certified organic and biodegradable ingredients, vegetable extracts, fruits and vegetables, vitamins and natural vegetable oils. In the early 1930s, brothers Anton and Vincent de Lorenzo began their burgeoning careers in the hairdressing industry as barbers in Redfern, New South Wales. All De Lorenzo products are certified vegan and accredited by Choose Cruelty Free (CCF), using certified organic and plant-based ingredients that are sustainably grown and harvested in the wild whenever possible. Staying true to its core values, De Lorenzo has always had a natural approach to hair care and continues to develop and manufacture all of its products on Australian shores, proudly supporting Australian employment and the local economy.
Their persistence paid off and they started working at Borrowmans and, in the end, they ended up running the salon and being the best hairdressers on the floor, says Anton's son and current director of De Lorenzo, Anthony De Lorenzo. In 1931, 12-year-old boys Vincent and Anton De Lorenzo left school to become musicians in the silent movies that were screened in theaters. De Lorenzo was founded in 1987 by Vincent and Anton de Lorenzo, two of Australia's most influential hairdressing identities since 1945. The delorenzo family decided to return to the industry and start a new hair care business based on concepts similar to those of the past. The De Lorenzo family has shaped the landscape of the Australian hairdressing industry with plans to continue to do so in the future.
